About Cincinnati Reads Cincinnati Reads partners with local elementary schools to match kindergarten through fourth-grade students with volunteers from the community. It seeks to provide a caring reading volunteer for every student who is struggling to learn to read. By working one-on-one with a student once a week, you can help empower that child to overcome his or her reading difficulties and establish a strong foundation for his or her future. By serving just 30 minutes per week at a local elementary school near your home or work, you can make a difference in the life of a child.
