Fountain Square Reads
The Literacy Network is throwing a city wide celebration on Fountain Square on September 7th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm to raise awareness and promote the development of literacy in our city. Join Chris Carr from B-105.1 FM and Jenell Walston from WCPO Channel 9 News as they host this event. The Literacy Network thanks our sponsors, Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Sanger and Eby, Rally's and Graydon Head.


Hands Across the River Fund Drive Campaign
In September, The Literacy Network will kick off its 2011 annual "Hands Across the River" fund drive campaign.

Co-chairs from Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati came together for this event to encourage corporations and individuals to unite in the literacy cause. Leaders of this year's event include:

Tee Up for Literacy Moonlight Golf Scramble
The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati hosted its 4th Annual Tee Up for Literacy Moonlight Golf Scramble on Friday, August 5, and Saturday, August 6th at Delhi Hills Par 3 and raised over $5,600!
With a shotgun start in the dark, the golfers took to the course with neon balls, aiming at glow-in-the-dark flags. Teams decked out in glow-stick necklaces and bracelets were the only other visible light. Golfers played 9 holes and participated in raffles provided by B-105.1 FM, Holy Grail-Banks, Keenland Kentucky Horse Park, Gift Tree, and more!
Friday’s winning team was Ohio National consisting of Steve and Terri McDonough --- and Steve Wiggins. The Merrill Lynch team, Gina and Mike Fieler and Michelle and Scott Datilo, won the outing on Saturday.
