HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Let the Literacy Network connect you to an enjoyable, convenient and immensely rewarding volunteer opportunity. It will amaze you the difference a little of your time can make in one person's life. Thank you for thinking of those in need!
MAKE A BOOK DONATION
One way we can reach children and families at home during this time is through books. We are working with our community partners and utilizing our Little Free Libraries to get books into the hands of all of our neighbors. Books and the stories they tell allow us to connect with others, even in the most challenging moments.
If you have children's books to give, please contact to coordinate donations. We appreciate any donations of diverse books, as we work hard to distribute books that represent all backgrounds. If you do not have books to give and would like to make a donation toward this effort, please click here.
VOLUNTEER TO BECOME A TUTOR
You can volunteer to tutor children or adults for 30 minutes a week and help change a life! Training sessions are held the first Tuesday of every month (excluding May, June, July, and February).
You can register for tutor training via the form below. However, with the safety of our volunteers and students in mind, we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and may need to postpone or switch the in-person training to a virtual format. We will be in touch with all registrants once this has been determined. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and willingness to help during this challenging time.
